As a therapist, my focus is to create an environment for you to accomplish your
goals. This could include feeling better, improving your relationships, coping
with grief and loss, overcoming past trauma, or addressing obstacles that are
adversely affecting your mental health. I have over 30 years experience working
with children and adults as a social worker in schools, mental health, and child
welfare settings. With compassion and caring, I use a variety of tools adapted to
what is right for you and your situation.
I offer EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing)to help overcome
the effects of trauma. If you are interested in exploring mind-body connections, I
utilize trauma-sensitive yoga. In some circumstances I use DBT (dialectical
behaviour therapy) to provide coping tools to manage the stress and challenges
in your life.
It can be difficult to reach out for help. I do my best to create emotional safety,
honour your vulnerability, and walk alongside you as you struggle. I lead with
