I am a supportive and collaborative helper for those seeking assistance or solutions to life challenges. In partnering with me, I aim to facilitate a safe environment for you to explore values, identities and experiences and how that may contribute to new discoveries and growth. Therapy takes a lot of courage and strength and I want to walk alongside you as you process emotions, learn about yourself and express your thoughts. I also practice EMDR, which allows individuals to process memories or negative events.
My goal is to help clients to develop greater understanding of themselves as well as provide them with the practical tools and resources to navigate life’s changes and challenges. I believe that seeking help is a sign of great strength and commitment.
In addition to EMDR, I use a holistic and eclectic approach to therapy including dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction that is also strength-based and trauma-focused. I have been a social worker for over 7 years and have been offering counselling to individuals over the past 3 years.
I have spent a number of years attending university and understand that there can be some ups and downs that may occur. I am skilled and experienced in a variety of areas including helping people with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, addiction and a range of other issues.
