About My Student Wellbeing: Here at My Student Wellbeing, we believe in reducing the barriers to mental health services for post-secondary students through education and accessibility. We strive to contribute to a normalization of mental health services in society to allow every individual to feel comfortable seeking help when they need. We recognize how therapy can have a profound impact on someone’s life, leading to lifelong positive changes.
As a student you’re well acquainted with navigating the stressors, expectations, and unexpected events while juggling exams, socializing, and maybe holding a part time job. We want you help us build out our website so it’s easy to use and navigate.
Position Overview: My Student Wellbeing is seeking to hire a student with computer science/developer skills at $20/hour. Casual means we will offer you work and it will be up to you if you would like to do the work in any given week. Some weeks may consist of 0 hours of work where others can go up to 20, but you will get to choose how much you want to work. We’re a very new organization and it’s difficult to predict in advance what is priority for us to do and how many hours it will take. Your involvement during his unpredictable, but exciting time, will help us find our footing so we can increase mental health service accessibility across Canada. This will be a great position for a student who wants to earn some extra income while studying.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Update our website to ensure web pages are optimized for speed
- Fix formatting and alignment issues on the website
- Develop a clinician directory with filtering options
- Develop a resource directory with filtering options
- Update web pages to add information or change layout
- Other tasks as offered and assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Align with My Student Wellbeing mission, vision, and values.
- Active post-secondary student in Canada
- Education related to computer science/web development
- Familiarity with WordPress and Elementor
- Experience working with databases
- Strong adherence to security and privacy
- Be able to work independently on tasks assigned
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
